Teaching and promoting the game of golf is the most important part the Golf Professional’s job. As a Professional, I enjoy the opportunity to mold young people’s ideas of what to expect during this great game just as much as i enjoy the possibly of shifting the views of experienced players to promote the fun and enjoyment of the game.
I do not subscribe to any particular teaching method, as I am a firm believer that one size does NOT fit all. I assess the individual’s unique abilities and limitations and use what they have to find the right teaching method to ensure their success. After spending thousands of hours on the lesson tee, what I continue to love about teaching is that each lesson presents itself with unique concerns. The solutions come from a vast array of teaching techniques and drills. The appropriate combination will see that the students’ weaknesses are addressed and they leave satisfied.
In my teaching experience, I have taught everyone from the beginner to the advanced player. I have taught young and old and even those with physical limitations. Teaching a young lady with a prosthetic leg has probably been one of my greatest teaching experiences
